Sales Director

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Excellent background in marketing and sales (minimum 2 years experience)
  • Able to identify business needs and proactively develop customized advertising solutions to meet client objectives
  • Excel in identifying new prospects and aggressively seek new clientele by networking, calling, canvassing, referrals or other means
  • Able to create a sales info and media kit maintained and up-to-date
  • Possess strong listening, presentation and logistic skills to be able to quickly build and maintain productive client relationships
  • Ability to supervise the maintaining of account lists, mailing lists and employee lists
  • Must possess strong listening, planning, presentation and execution skills
  • Able to quickly build, produce and maintain client relationships
  • Possess excellent communication/ people skills with acute attention to details
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Flash, HTML, Javascript is a plus
  • Must be reliable, dependable and have a driver’s license
  • Must have own computer/laptop
  • Able to take direction and work efficiently with 106 Live Radio team members
  • Must have a driver’s license and own computer/laptop

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Identify, recruit and develop a highly effective marketing and sales team
  • Supervise  and evaluate sales team
  • Assist and maintain strong communication with other sections of the radio
  • Set goals to be accomplished while maintaining the minimum requirements with an effective strategic sales plan
  • Assist with sales and promotional development
  • Schedule meetings to discuss targeted goals, objectives and solve problems
  • Research and analyze market trends
  • Identify target markets and how best to reach them
  • Ability to identify potential clients and to proactively create advertising packages to fit their needs
  • Stay up-to-date with competitors
  • Analyze and maintain radio data
  • Develop and or create sales packages to meet the needs of sponsors, advertisers and non-profits organizations
  • Assist in creating marketing strategies and planning campaigns
  • Maintain accounts, customers, potential clients database; team contact
  • Additional duties as designated by the Station Manager related to sales or administrative functions
  • May be required to be in studio from time to time
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and sales meetings (in and out of office)
